In this article, I introduce 6 Hiroshima Style Restaurants near Hiroshima University.

You can have Hiroshima Style Okonimiyaki there. If you haven’t try it, go now !!

Okonomiyaki　Q

Okonomiyaki Restaurant named “Q” doesn’t look a Japanese restaurant.

When I saw this restaurant for the first time, I thought it was an antique interior shop.

They are actually Hiroshima Style Okonomiyaki, but they taste very special. They are not pure Hiroshima Style.

They have various menus. So, you can eat from original style to very special one.

You can eat BIG size Okonomiyaki here. If you cannot eat so much, you should order “Ledy’s Size.”

＊They start to cook after you order, so it takes some time. (around 30 mins / group)

You can come here when you are not in rush, or with someone to talk to❤️

Okonomiyaki & Teppanyaki　Nakamuraya

Nakamuraya is located at one of the are of apartments for students.

Official name is Nakamuraya Honten. (Honten means head shops)

You can eat Hiroshima Style Okonomiyaki & Fuchuyaki here. (Origin of Fuchuyaki is Fuchu area near Hiroshima City.)

There are a lot of other menus. And also you can held parties here such as new year’s party, welcome party and farewell party.

In the restaurant, they display some Hiroshima Carp goods on the wall. You can enjoy to see them. (Carp is one of the baseball teams.)

Okonomiyaki Shiori

Shiori is the Okonomiyaki restaurant which is small and old.

They use Special Row Noodle & Eggs with Two Yellow Eggs! They emphasize that materials are important.

You can eat Okonomiyaki from iron plate directly if you are on counter chairs.

The Restaurant is small, so you can come with only few friends !

You should come here when you want to really enjoy the meal.🍽 😋

Okonomi Magokoro Days ｜Shitami Branch

They have 2 restaurants in Saijo Area. I introduce Shitami Branch here.

Inside this restaurant, it looks like Japanese Elementary School!
You can experience like eating school meals in the Japanese School.

You can eat Hiroshima Style Okonomiyaki & Fuchuyaki here. (Origin of Fuchuyaki is Fuchu area near Hiroshima City.)

It may be a little bit difficult to find this restaurant because this is located at the end of the lines of apartments.

They have the big parking are so you can go using cars.🚗

Okonomiyaki Shitami-Tei

You can find “Shitami-Tei” near The Road 332.

They have a wooden sign and white Noren. It is really Japanese.
(Noren is Japanese style curtain.)

The owner is not so old, but he had years of experiences at an old okonomiyaki shops in Hiroshima city, and he managed another shop before he opened Shitami Tei.

He uses special noodles and is particular about the level of baking noodles.

If you are students, you can eat it for special price!

Okonomiyaki Hibiki

You can eat “Basic Hiroshima Style Okonomiyaki” at Hibiki.

They have various kinds of Okonomiyaki, noodles, toppings, and other menus.

You can enjoy alcohol such as Beer, Shochu, Japanese Sake and so on.

They have the big parking area, so you can come using cars.🚗

You can make point cards, so get points and get Free Okonomiyaki !
