[Kamakura] 2 nights 3 days winter Kamakura date course to go on the weekend << 14 date spots selection >>
Day 1 (Meet at Tokyo Station on Friday night)
19:00 Meet at Tokyo Station
On Friday night, we meet at Tokyo station around 19:00. It is the beginning of a Kamakura date that fully used the weekend. From Tokyo Station to Kamakura Station, take the JR Yokosuka Line (bound for Zushi/Kurihama) for about an hour. If you can travel to Kamakura on Friday night, you can fully enjoy Kamakura from the next morning.
20:00 Arrive at Kamakura Station
The hour-long ride will go by in the blink of an eye if you are chatting with your lover😇Once you arrive at Kamakura Station, let’s go straight to the hotel and complete the check-in procedures.
20:15 Arrive at the hotel and check-in
If you want to stay in Kamakura, we recommend “Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura”. Opened in 2020, this 3-star hotel is located a 2-minute walk from the east exit of JR Kamakura Station. It is a facility with a warm atmosphere of Japanese x nature, and the staff’s service was perfect.
There are MUJI and Café & Meal MUJI on the first floor of the hotel, and there are convenience stores and supermarkets next door, so you won’t have any trouble shopping.
Above all, it was very convenient to be able to access all of Kamakura’s standard sightseeing spots such as Kamakura Station, Komachi Street, and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine in about 3 minutes on foot. Also, when I was a little tired from wearing a rental kimono for a long time, or when it was difficult to go to the bathroom in the kimono, I could easily return to it and it was very convenient 😭💓💓

21:00: Dinner at a Spanish restaurant bar
After checking in, take a break and let’s go have dinner! You definitely don’t want to miss your first meal in Kamakura. It’s a little disappointing in Kamakura that restaurants close early, but I’ll introduce you to a stylish Spanish bar with a full food menu.
This is “Cafe Kamakura-Bigaku“. It is a very stylish space that is unified with a unique sense of the world. The price was reasonable, and every dish had a warm taste.

Day 2 (Saturday)
10:00 Kimono rental
When it comes to Japanese-style tourist destinations, kimono rentals are a must. In fact, there is a kimono shop in Kamakura that will arrange unique kimonos for you. “Kamakura Kimono Rental Knon” is a must-visit for fashionable couples.
Here, in addition to the regular rental kimono plan, there is an arranged dressing menu called “De Pannier”. The proprietress of “Kamakura Kimono Rental Kanon” devised an arrangement of kimono, in which a tulle skirt called a pannier is worn under the kimono. It seems to be the only place in Japan where you can wear a kimono, so please try it 💓

11:30 Visit Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine
After dressing up in a cute kimono, let’s go visit the classic Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. If you look down on the stairs before entering the main hall of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, you can see a view of the approach that stretches straight to the sea. It’s a spectacular view on a sunny day, so please look back once before entering the main shrine. A little before the main shrine, there is also an Inari shrine called “Maruyama Inarisha”. It’s a little hard to find, so look for it carefully.
Also, it is said that about 30% of the fortune slips at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine are “bad”. I also pulled the first bad luck in my life (laugh) Everyone, please try your luck.

12:00 Eating while walking on Komachi Street
After visiting Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, this is also a standard, but please try eating while walking around Komachi Street 😋 If you eat at a restaurant while wearing a kimono, you will feel sick to your stomach. It is recommended to eat while walking to the extent that you do not eat too much 🙆 ♀️ We have picked up 3 recommended shops on the Komachi Street eating while walking menu, so please consider it.
Kokuriko crepe store
A crepe shop founded in 1977.
There is always a line, but the turnover rate is high so you can eat right away ◎
Simple and delicious butter sugar is recommended!
Han’nari Inari
Founded in 1924, Han’nari Inari offers cup-sized shirasu bowls,
This is a restaurant where you can easily eat Kamakura specialties such as inari sushi and bento boxes.
There is also an eat-in space in the store, so it’s nice to stop by while taking a break.
Tomoya
Tomoya is a long-established Japanese confectionery shop, and their most popular item is the Daibutsu-sama-yaki that calls happiness.
I can’t say anything about it, thank you~ The expression of the Great Buddha is wonderful…💓
In addition, there are skewered dumplings, Japanese soft-serve ice cream, and warabi mochi.
13:00 Take a break at a retro cafe
After visiting Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and eating on Komachi Street, I think it’s time to get tired of wearing a kimono and wearing a tight obi. But I still don’t want to take off this cute kimono! For those who say, we recommend taking a break at a retro cafe.
“Cafe Respoir” is a retro cafe on the 2nd floor of the same building as “Kamakura Kimono Rental Kanon”. The interior of the store is full of antique interiors, and I feel that the owner who is a little unfriendly is bringing out a better taste (laughs). It is not sweet and has a refreshing and light seasoning, so you can easily eat one plate. After taking pictures of the kimono at the retro cafe, return the kimono and head to your next destination.

14:00 Zeniarai Benzaiten, Ugafuku Shrine
After taking off your kimono, let’s go to “Zeniarai Benzaiten Ugafuku Shrine” which is a little further away. It takes about 20 minutes on foot from Komachi Street. Zeniarai Benzaiten Ugafukujin Castle is famous as a shrine that increases financial luck. It is said that if you wash your money in the water of this shrine, it will double. You can also enjoy a little activity of washing money with the sacred water of the shrine.

15:00 British Antique Museum BAM Kamakura
After returning from Zeniarai Benten, let’s go to the last sightseeing spot, “British Antique Museum BAM Kamakura“. Many genuine British antiques with a history of over 100 years are displayed here. The exhibition area is a little small, so the volume is rather small, but each and every one of them is so precious that it’s eye-opening. You can freely take pictures inside the museum, so please try to take pictures as if you were an aristocrat in medieval Europe.

16:00 Kamakura curry for dinner at Oxymoron Komachi
Since you are keeping your lunch small, let’s have dinner a little early. If you want to eat Kamakura curry, we recommend “OXYMORON komachi”. Located on Komachi Street. There are Japanese-style keema curry, ethnic minced curry, and chicken curry. But actually, my recommendation is not the curry, but the dessert menu (laughs). Please order the dessert set. Last order is early at 17:30, so please be careful when you come to the store.

Day 3 (Sunday)
12:00 Ultimate French toast at an old private house cafe
On the final day, after checking out, we headed to the old folk house cafe “café recette Kamakura” near Hase Station. This is a bread sweets specialty store famous for the ultimate French toast. It has been introduced in famous TV programs such as Arashi ni Shiyagare. We ordered the ultimate French toast and a thick sliced toast plate from recette, a “high-end bread specialty store”. Both were very delicious and the warm hospitality of the staff was wonderful.

1:00 p.m. Stroll along the Yuigahama Beach
Bread fills my stomach quite a bit, so I take a short walk after eating. It takes about 2 minutes on foot from Cafe Russet Kamakura to Yuigahama Beach. The sea in winter is a little cold, but there were few people and it was comfortable. There are streets lined with souvenir shops around Hase Station, and Kamakura Daibutsu is also within walking distance.

14:00 New Enoshima Aquarium
After filling your stomach and relaxing a bit, head to the Enoshima Aquarium. It takes about 20 minutes from Hase station to Enoshima station by Enoden, and then about 10 minutes on foot. The Enoshima Aquarium is surprisingly large, and you can enjoy it quite a bit. We put a lot of effort into displaying jellyfish, and there were many photogenic spots. Also, the dolphin show seems to be popular, and you can see dance performances that are not seen in other aquariums.

3:30 p.m. Walking around Enoshima
After enjoying the aquarium, finally head to Enoshima. There are two ways to access Enoshima: 1) walk along Enoshima Benten Bridge (about 15 minutes) and 2) take a ferry from the back of Enoshima. When you walk across the Enoshima Benten Bridge, you will see a street lined with souvenir shops and Enoshima Shrine in front of you. If you land on the back of Enoshima by ferry, you can go straight to the cave exploration of Iwaya, which will be introduced next, so please choose whichever you prefer.
4:30 p.m. Iwaya cave exploration
For couples who like active dates, we recommend exploring Iwaya Cave in the deepest part of Enoshima. It has long been famous as a place where various monks and Minamoto no Yoritomo practiced and prayed, and it is now popular as a power spot. In Enoshima, there is a legend called the Dragon God, and there is a monument imitating the Dragon God in this Iwaya Cave. If you like to pursue romance, this is the place to visit.

17:30 Night view of Enoshima Sea Candle
Last but not least, the night view of Enoshima Sea Candle is indispensable for Enoshima in winter. It is held from late November to the end of February every year at Samuel Cocking Garden on the top of Enoshima. There are several cafes and sundry shops on the premises, so please keep warm there and watch the light up at 17:30! The moment when the entire site shines at once is a must-see. In addition, you can see the night view of Enoshima and Kamakura from the observatory of Sea Candle and Miami Beach. There are many people who are working hard on the illumination, but don’t miss the night view.
